POINTED FOR A TERM OF FIVE YEARS. AS THESE INITIAL
TERMS EXPIRE, ALL MEMBERS BE APPOINTED FOR TERMS
OF FIVE YEARS EACH. A MEMBER MAY BE RE-APPOINTED
TO A SUCCESSIVE TERM OR TERMS.

THE GOVERNOR UPON THE ADVICE OF THE SECRETARY
OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MAY AP-
POINT HONORARY MEMBERS, TO THE COMMISSION. THE
COMMISSION MAY ESTABLISH AN ADVISORY COUNCIL,
COMPOSED OF SUCH PERSONS AS IT DEEMS ESPECIALLY
INTERESTED IN THE COMMEMORATION TO ASSIST IN ITS
WORK. THE COMMISSION SHALL NAME FIVE OF ITS MEM-
BERS TO CONSTITUTE AN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, WHICH
SHALL ACT FOR THE COMMISSION PURSUANT TO ITS DI-
RECTION. THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SHALL ELECT
THEIR CHAIRMAN WHO SHALL BE THE CHAIRMAN OF
THE COMMISSION.

A REPORT SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE GOVERNOR,
SECRETARY OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOP-
MENT AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY PRESENTING THE PRE-
LIMINARY PLANS OF THE COMMISSION, NOT LATER THAN
JANUARY 15TH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-ONE.
THEREAFTER, AN ANNUAL REPORT OF THE ACTIVITIES
OF THE COMMISSION SHALL BE FURNISHED BY THE COM-
MISSION TO THE GOVERNOR, SECRETARY OF ECONOMIC
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND THE GENERAL AS-
SEMBLY.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, THAT SECTION 412
(A), 412 (B) AND 416(B) OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF
MARYLAND (1969 SUPPLEMENT), TITLE "GOVERNOR EX-
ECUTIVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENTS," SUB-
TITLE "GREATER BALTIMORE CONSOLIDATED WHOLE
SALE FOOD MARKET AUTHORITY" BE AND THEY ARE
HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMEND-
MENTS TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

(A) A BODY CORPORATE AND POLITIC, TO BE KNOWN
AS "HE GREATER BALTIMORE CONSOLIDATED WHOLE-
SALE FOOD MARKET AUTHORITY" IS CREATED TO BE AN
INSTRUMENTALITY OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND AS A
PART OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COM-
MUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND A PUBLIC CORPORATION
BY THAT NAME, STYLE AND TITLE. IT MAY CONTRACT
AND BE CONTRACTED WITH, SUE AND BE SUED, IMPLEAD
AND BE IMPLEADED, AND COMPLAIN AND DEFEND IN ALL
COURTS OF LAW AND EQUITY.
(B) THE AUTHORITY SHALL CONSIST OF [SEVEN]
EIGHT MEMBERS, ALL OF WHOM SHALL BE CITIZENS OF
