SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General As-
sembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises contained in
the Last Wills and Testaments of certain persons, deceased, and
also to certain gifts, grants, sales, leases and deeds made by
various persons to and for the use and benefit of sundry ministerial
persons, religious corporations, vestries, educational and chari-
table institutions, churches, denominations or sects hereinafter
named.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sanction and consent of the said General Assembly of
Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and granted to
the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales, leases, convey-
ances and deeds, to and from certain persons and bodies corporate
to and for the use of certain ministerial persons, religious and educa-
tional corporations, orders, denominations and sects, and to certain
charitable institutions hereinafter named and hereinafter set forth.
1. Deed dated December 3, 1934, from Alice L. Welsh, widow of
Robert A. Welsh, deceased, to the trustees of the Baldwin Memorial
Methodist Episcopal Church, and recorded among the land records
of Anne Arundel County in Liber F.A.M. No. 134, folio 184, convey-
ing a strip or parcel of land in the Second Election (now Assess-
ment) District of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, fronting on the
northerly side of the county road leading from Severn Cross Roads
to Indian Landing and in said deed more fully described.
2. Deed dated April 6, 1936, from Katherine B. Morgan Joyce
and E. Fletcher Joyce, her husband, to The Trustees of Baldwin
Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church of Anne Arundel County, in-
corporated, and recorded among the land records of Anne Arundel
County in Liber F.A.M. No. 152, folio 525, conveying two parcels of
land in the Second Election (now Assessment) District of Anne
Arundel County, Maryland, one parcel fronting on the northerly side
and the other fronting on the southerly side, respectively, of the
county road leading from Severn Cross Roads to Indian Landing,
and in said deed more fully described.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
