review of workmen's compensation benefits.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 36A be and it is hereby added to Article 101 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supplement), title "Work-
men's Compensation," subtitle "Claims and Compensation; Benefits,"
to follow immediately after Section 36 thereof, and to read as follows;
36A.
The Commission or a special committee appointed by it, each five
years beginning in 1970, shall THE GOVERNOR'S COMMISSION
TO REVIEW LAWS GOVERNING THE WORKMEN'S COMPEN-
SATION LAWS SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME, AND AT LEAST
EVERY FIVE YEARS review the benefit schedule provided by this
Article for the purpose of readjusting these RECOMMENDING
READJUSTMENTS TO SUCH benefits to reflect the increase in
the cost of living since they were established. At the conclusion of
this review the Commission shall present its recommendations to the
Legislative Council. so that the appropriate legislation may be pre-
pared for introduction at the next session of the General Assembly.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal Section 40 of Article 77A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Higher Educa-
tion," subtitle "Scholarships," and to enact new Section 40 in lieu
thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed, to provide that
each member of the House of Delegates may appoint during his
term four scholarships to any institution of higher learning in the
State whose curriculum is approved by the State Department of
Education TWO SCHOLARSHIPS TO CERTAIN INSTITU-
TIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING IN MARYLAND.
