	@	Command was Given unto the sheriff of Somerset County that he should take John Lecatt
LD	John Lecat	Late of Somerset County planter otherwise Called Me John Lecatt Senr if he should be

found in his Bailywick & him should safe keep So that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset To be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of March Anno
Dom. one thousand Seven Hundred and sixty three To answer unto Robert Handy of a plea that he
render him the sum five pounds Sixteen Shillings and one penny Cur^t Money of Maryland which to him
he owes and unjustly detains &^c and the same day is given to the af^d. Robert here &^c
And hereupon the af^d. Robert declared against the af^d. John in the plea af^d. in form following
Somerset County fs^t John Lecatt Late of Somerset County planter otherwise Called me John Lecatt Sen^r was
Summoned to answer unto Robert Handy of a plea that he render unto him the Sum of Five pounds sixteen
Shillings and one penny Current money of Maryland which to him he owes and unjustly detains & so
forth       And Whereupon the said Robert by William Hayward His Attorney Saith that Whereas the
Said John The Twenty seventh Day of April Anno Dom. Seventeen Hundred and Sixty Two at Somerset Coun
-ty af^d. by his Certain bill Obligatory which the said Robert with the Seal of the af^d. John Sealed here into
Court doth Bring the Date whereof is the same day and Year af^d. acknowledged himself to stand Justly
Indebted unto the said Robert in the af^d. Five pounds Sixteen shillings and one penny Current money
af^d. to be paid unto the said Robert at or before the first day of October next insuing the Date of the af^d.
Bill Obligatory and to the same Payment Well and truly to be made and Done the af^d. John obliged
himself firmly by the same Bill yet the said John tho often requested the af^d. five pounds Sixteen Shillings
and one penny Current Money af^d. To the said Robert hath not rendred but the same to him hitherto to render
hath denyed and still doth deny and unjustly detain wherefore the said Robert saith he is worse and hath
Damage to the Value of Ten pounds Current Money of Maryland and thereof he brings Suit & so forth
A Copy of the Foregoing Declaration was made and Sent to be    W^m. Hayward pro Quer J Doe & R Roe Pledges of pros.
