To Have ought not according to the form of the Recognizance afd. if unto him it shall Seem Expedient and
Have you then and there the Names of them by whom you make known and this writt Witness Sampson Wheatly
Esqr One of our Justices of our Said Court the 20th Day of November in the 12th Year of our Dominion and so forth

           Att which Day here Came the afd. Peter Hubbard by George Hayward his attorney and the
sheriff to witt Ephraim Wilson now here Returned that he by Virtue of the writt afd. made known unto
the afd. Stephen Horsey by Isaac Coulbourn and John Doe Good and Lawfull Men of his Bailywick that he
should be and appear before the Justices within mentioned on the day and place within Contained to shew
Cause as to him within it was Commanded            And the said Stephen Horsey altho so forewarned
being Solemnly Called to shew Cause Came not but made Default and upon this the said Peter Hubbard
prays Execution against the said Stephen Horsey for the Damages afd. according to the form and effect of the
Recognizance afd. therefore it is Considered that the afd. Peter Hubbard have Execution against the afd. Stephen
Horsey for the Damages afd. in the Scire facias afd. mentioned according to the force form and effect of the Recog
-nizance afd. also it is considered that the afd. Peter Hubbard Recover against the afd. Stephen Horsey
186                                               pounds of Tobacco for his Costs and Charges Sustained by Means of the
Delay of the Execution of the Judgement afd. and that the afd. Peter have thereof Execution &c

@    Command was Given unto the sheriff of Somerset County that he should take John Lecatt
LD    John Lecat    Late of Somerset County planter otherwise Called Me John Lecatt Senr if he should be
found in his Bailywick & him should safe keep So that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset To be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of March Anno
Dom. one thousand Seven Hundred and sixty three To answer unto Robert Handy of a plea that he
render him the sum five pounds Sixteen Shillings and one penny Curt Money of Maryland which to him
he owes and unjustly detains &c and the same day is given to the afd. Robert here &c
And hereupon the afd. Robert declared against the afd. John in the plea afd. in form following
Somerset County fst John Lecatt Late of Somerset County planter otherwise Called me John Lecatt Senr was
Summoned to answer unto Robert Handy of a plea that he render unto him the Sum of Five pounds sixteen
Shillings and one penny Current money of Maryland which to him he owes and unjustly detains & so
forth       And Whereupon the said Robert by William Hayward His Attorney Saith that Whereas the
Said John The Twenty seventh Day of April Anno Dom. Seventeen Hundred and Sixty Two at Somerset Coun
-ty afd. by his Certain bill Obligatory which the said Robert with the Seal of the afd. John Sealed here into
Court doth Bring the Date whereof is the same day and Year afd. acknowledged himself to stand Justly
Indebted unto the said Robert in the afd. Five pounds Sixteen shillings and one penny Current money
afd. to be paid unto the said Robert at or before the first day of October next insuing the Date of the afd.
Bill Obligatory and to the same Payment Well and truly to be made and Done the afd. John obliged
himself firmly by the same Bill yet the said John tho often requested the afd. five pounds Sixteen Shillings
and one penny Current Money afd. To the said Robert hath not rendred but the same to him hitherto to render
hath denyed and still doth deny and unjustly detain wherefore the said Robert saith he is worse and hath
Damage to the Value of Ten pounds Current Money of Maryland and thereof he brings Suit & so forth
A Copy of the Foregoing Declaration was made and Sent to be    Wm. Hayward pro Quer J Doe & R Roe Pledges of pros.
Served on the Deft in order for Speedy Tryal at which Day Here Came the afd. Robert Hardy by his Attor
-ney afd. and the sheriff to witt Ephraim Wilson sheriff of the County afd. now here returned that he had ta
-ken the afd. John Lecatt whose body here at this day he had ready to answer the afd. Robert Handy of the
afd. plea as To him it was Commanded and further the same sheriff returned that he had served the afd. John
