	@	Command was Given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take Mitchell King
SW	Mitchell King	Late of Somerset County Planter Otherwise Called I Mitchell King of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland

if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom. one thousand
Seven hundred and Sixty Two to Answer unto John Adams of A plea that he Render him the Sum of forty Pounds Cur^t Money of
Maryland which to him he Owes and unjustly detains and So forth and the Same day is Given to the af^d. John here &^c
        Att which day here Came the af^d. John Adams by George Hayward his Attorney and the Sheriff to witt Ephraim
Wilson now here Returned that he had taken the af^d. Mitchell King whose body here at this day he had Ready to
Answer the af^d. John Adams of the af^d. plea as to him it was Commanded
           Whereupon the Said Mitchell King at the prayer of the af^d. John Adams is Adjudged to Give Special
Bail to the Action af^d. Thereupon a Certain Richard Waller of Somerset County Blacksmith present here in Court
in his proper Person undertook for the Said Mitchell King and Assumed upon himself that if it Should happen that
Judgment in the plea af^d. Should be Rendred for the Said John Adams Against the af^d. Mitchell King or that he the
Said Mitchell King Should be therein Convict that then he the Said Mitchell King Should pay and Satisfie unto the
af^d. John Adams the Judgment of the Court thereupon or Render his body in Execution of Such Judgment to the
Prison of the Sheriff of the County af^d. in Satisfaction thereof or that he the Said Richard Waller will do the Same
for him &^c.       Whereupon the Said Mitchell King puts in his place Samuel Wilson Gen^t Attorney at Law Against
the af^d. John Adams in the af^d. plea       And thereupon at the prayer of the parties af^d. day is to them now here
Given untill next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June then next following in that State
that now Saving to the Parties af^d. &^c.       Att which day here Came as well the af^d. John Adams as the af^d. Mitchell
King by their Attorneys af^d. And hereupon the Said John declared Against the af^d. Mitchell in the plea af^d. in
form following Somerset fs^t Mitchell King Late of Somerset County Planter Otherwise Called I Mitchell King
of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland Planter was Summoned to Answer unto John Adams of A plea of
trespass upon the Case that he Render him the Sum of forty Pounds Cur^t. Money of Maryland which to him he
Owes and unjustly detains and So forth       And Whereupon the Said John by George Hayward his Attorney
Says that Whereas the Said Mitchell on the viii day of February Anno Dom. MDCCLXii at Somerset County
af^d. by his Certain Writing Obligatory which the Said John with the Seal of the Said Mitchell Sealed hereto the
