John Handy
   Bound to    John Handy (Son of Saml) an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here
Zadekiah Waley    An Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto Zadekiah Waley of
Somerset County Mariner untill he the Said John Handy Should Arrive at the Age of Twenty One Years the
Said John Handy to Serve his Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice his Said
Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Every
where willingly he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall demean
himself towards his Said Master and all his during the term afd.    In Consideration of Which Service
the Said Zadekiah Waley Present here in Court in his Proper Person Covenanteth with the Justices of the
Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said
Zadekiah Waley Shall and Will during the term afd. Learn his Apprentice to be a Marriner and to Read
Write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and Navigation So far as through Mercato Sailing
and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a Quadrant, Scale Dividers, Mariners Callender and Compas
Rectified and a New Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise find
And Provide for his Said Apprentice Meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for
Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the term afd.
           Whereupon the Said Zadekiah Waley is ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd.
Thereupon the Said Zadekiah Waley together with Littleton Dennis and Josiah Polk of Somerset County
Gent his Securitys all Present here in Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto
the afd. John Handy in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland on their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands &
tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said John Handy his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied
If it happen that the Said Zadekiah Waley do not dureing the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice to be a Mariner
and to Read Write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and Navigation So far as through Mercato
Sailing and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him a Quadrant Scale and Dividers Marriners
Callendar and Compas Rectified and a New Suit of Cloaths Over and Above his Common wearing Cloaths and
do not Likewise find and Provide for his Said Apprentice meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient

Inhabitants    To the Wordshipfull Justices of Somerset County Sundry the Inhabitants near Barron Creek hunbly
   Petn.    Shew that they with many Others are under Great disadvantages in the transportation of their
produce of Every kind to Any Landing for Want of a Good Road to Any Proper Landing and that the Laying off
And Establishing a Road from Some place Near the head of Barron Creek to the Warehouse on the Said Creek
will Much Conduce to the Ease and Advantage of Many of them and the promotion of the trade of that part
of the County    They therefore pray that Your Worships on Considering the Premisses will Make Such order
for the Same as is Agreeable to Law and You Shall think proper and they as in duty bound will pray &c.

Whereupon Came here into Court the afd. Petitioners in their Proper persons and thereupon the
Petition afd. being Read and heard and fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that
Ephraim King and David Polk Lay out a Road as by the Petition is praid and Make Report to the Court

Molatto Mille    Molatto Mille of her Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here
      Bound to    An Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto Thomas
Thos. Durham    Durham of Somerset County untill She the Said Mille Should Arrive at the Age of
Sixteen Years the Said Mille to Serve her Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said
