"The City in American History"
"Maryland History from Colonial Times to the Present"
"Gone With the Wind: Stereotypes of Race & Gender in America"
These are courses in history taught by Archives' staff over the Web. They are designed to operate on local area networks in a weblike environment. As a result, many of the links in the syllabi refer to files that are only available locally or by password and they cannot be accessed on the World Wide Web without securing a password from the instructor. This is done because of the size of some movie, sound, pdf, and text files, and also to honor copyright restrictions on various materials used in the courses. Copies of these files can be obtained on CD from the Maryland State Archives or arrangements can be made for a password. Write to edp@mdarchives.state.md.us or contact us at 350 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis, MD 21401.
