About Amelia E. Hall's Parents: While Amelia's father's name is not yet been uncovered, her mother's name, Eleanora Hall, a.k.a. "Ellen" Hall, is known from the 1880 and 1900 census records. About Amelia E. Hall's Place of Birth: Their seems be to some debate concerning Amelia E. Hall Johnson's place of birth. While A. B. Koger and her certificate of death both identify her as an Afro-Canadian born to native Marylander parents, the former list the city of her birth as Montreal, while the death certificate places her birth in Toronto.
