Information:
Lot 18 lies on the west end of Market Street in Brookeville, Maryland.1
The lot was purchased from Anne Arundel County resident John Garrett by
prominent Brookeville residents Thomas
Moore and Caleb
Bentley in 1810.2
The lot was most likely used as part of Thomas Moore's tannery,
which
was also located on the western edge of the town. In total, Moore owned
two lots in the town that were valued at $520 in 1813.3
Moore and Bentley sold the lot to Evan Price in September of 1815.4
