Residence of Deborah Brooke Pleasants, 1801-1815

Information:

From 1801 to 1815, lot 16 on Market Street in Brookeville served as the primary residence of Deborah Brooke Pleasants.1 The lot was owned by Deborah's brother, Gerard Brooke, who maintained trusteeship of Deborah's inherited property and purchased the house for Deborah.2 In 1813, lot 16 and the home that it contained were valued at $150.3 In 1815, Gerard relinquished Deborah's trusteeship and sold lot 16 to Benjamin Blowers.4
