--Requests from various notaries public around the state for blank protest
forms to be sent to them from the comptroller.
--Requests for bounty claims to be settled/bounties to be paid.
--Requests for pensions to be paid to soldiers and sailors who served in
the war of 1812 (or their widows if deceased). The amount
was 80 dollars per year paid quarterly (Acts of 1868?).
Folder "1865: In
Default to State?": --Requests from the governor's office to
the comptroller to "inform the governor" if persons listed were "in default
to the State." (approximately 100 requests in folder)
Folder "1865-1889": Various letters requesting the comptroller to pay bounties and pensions due individuals.
