Walker, Daniel, TA, on 26 Nov 1707  took Joseph Pond (natural son of Joseph Pond, dec. and Katherine his wife, now wife of Thomas Huzz, cooper) as a servant for 13 years. Walker was to teach him to read, write, and number, and  to provide meat, drink, washing and lodging, and a suit of clothes, and a cow and a calf at the end of the term, (TALR 12:23).  Daniel Walker, son of Daniel Walker, schoolmaster, was left a legacy in the will, dated 4 Oct 1708, of James Bishop of TA co. (Maryland Calendar of Wills 3:125).
