Born in St. Louis, MO, September 3, 1928.  Attended St. Mary's Academy, Leonardtown; Charlotte Hall Military Academy; Virginia Military Institute; Western Maryland College, B.A., 1948; University of Maryland Law School, LL.B., 1951.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1951.

General Assembly:
Member of Senate, 1959-62.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Army in Korea and Okinawa, 1952-54.  State's Attorney, St. Mary's County, 1954-58.  Businessman, newspaper publisher, and real estate broker.  Member, Lions Club.
