Dear Mrs. Schaefer,

Thought perhaps you might like to ahve a copy of this picture I took in 1930. I remember well how Donald refused to be photographed. He probably never knew he was in the picture.

This is a larger photo than I wanted, but it was the only size they would reproduce. I had other old snapshots reproduced and was pleased with them all.

Know you must be very proud of your son. He has been an outstanding Mayor. I'm sorry my brother never lived to follow his career. I often think of the good times we had on Edgewood Street.

You may not remember seeing me in the old Valencia Theatre after the war, but I told you then that Harry, Jr. was killed in Germany in April, 1945. He was a Captain and Company Commander. We have missed him.
