Other notable figures:

Solomon Etting and Jacob I. Cohen were the first Jewish individuals elected after the passage of the "Jew Bill," joining the Baltimore City Council in 1826.  

Jacob Lumbrazo was the first known Jewish resident of Maryland, immigrating in the colony in 1656.
