Mason, Charles & Dixon, Jeremiah

  • A map of that part of America where a degree of latitude was measured for the Royal Society. This is the second edition of the map that originally accompanaied Mason's report "Observations for determining the length of a degree of latitude". This edition was in the Gentlemen's Magazine of November, 1769. 1768 [1769]. MSA SC 1399-1-227 [HFC 269M5]

  • A plan of the west line or parallel of latitude which is the boundary between the provinces of Maryland and Pensylvania.. This is the western-most of a two sheet map set comprising the whole of the Mason-Dixon line, covering the border between Maryland and Pennsylvania. 1768. MSA SC 1399-1-426 [HFC 268M4]
