If you are scheduled for search room duty on a Saturday and cannot be there because of illness or an emergency, you should contact by 8:30 a.m. both the primary archivist on duty and one of the following staff persons in the order listed:

In case of a building emergency (power failure, flood, etc.), contact Tim or Ed.

When it seems possible that weather conditions may prevent the Archives from opening on a Saturday, the scheduled primary archivist should develop contingency plans on the preceding Friday in consultation with  or Ed. Usually, one person serves as the central contact in case scheduled staff cannot get to the Archives. If three people can get to work, the search room will be opened.
