OFFICE OF RECREATION & PARKS

Formerly the Department of Recreation and Parks, the Office of Recreation and Parks is part of the Department of Citizen Services. With 24 developed parks and several thousand acres of open space the Office provides quality park facilities and programs for the citizens of the County (Code Local Government Article, secs. 1-601 through 1-611; Code of Ordinances, secs. 155-1 through 155-46).

The Office oversees two bureaus: Parks, and Recreation; and is assisted by the Recreation and Parks Advisory Board.
