Dr. Papenfuse recognized three Archives' employees who were retiring: Teresa Fountain, Andrea Beard, and Charles White. Each was presented with an engraved bowl in recognition of their long service to the Archives.
Dr. Papenfuse then presented Judge Murphy with a framed copy of the John Ogilby map of 1671 as a reminder of the Archives and the building which he was so instrumental in making possible. He read a letter to Judge Murphy from Archives' volunteer, Robert Barnes. Dr. Papenfuse also noted that the day was the 10th anniversary of the move of the Archives into the building. It was also noted that the Archives' staff had spent the day on Monday cleaning the building from top to bottom.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m. and a celebratory lunch was held for all members, guests and staff of the Archives.
