Biography:

Thomas Sasscer was a property owner who lived  in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Sasscer was the son of William Sasscer. Thomas Sasscer married Dorinda Berry on December 21, 1818. When his father William Sasscer died in 1821, he bequeathed land to Thomas called Sasscer's Green, on which he built a home. 

Thomas Sasscer was named the executor of William Sasscer’s estate. Acting as executor, Thomas Sasscer filed a claim for the loss of an enslaved man Andrew Calvert who escaped from his father during the War of 1812.
