Motion to adjourn. Adjourned. Page 447, Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Mr. Miller, the Commission adjourned. ADJOURNED: Secretary. One hundredth and seventh meeting. Present. Approval of Minutes. Chief Bngineer authorized to make surveys of two routes from Norbeok to Sandy Springe. Accepting aid from the Federal Government referred to the Chairman and the Chief Sngineer. Baltimore, Md., December 20, 1912. A special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held at * its offices, 534 N. Howard Street, Baltimore, Md., thie Friday, December 20, 1912, at 9.30 A. M. Present. Chairman ffeller, Dr. Remeen, Messrs. Miller, Goslin and Ramsay. Upon motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, the minutes of the meeting of November 27th, 1912, were approved. After a discussion of the request of Mr. Tarlton B. Stabler, that the State take over the Union Turnpike, in Montgomery County, upon motion of Mr. Miller, seconded by Dr. Remsen, Chief Engineer Shirley was instructed to have surveys made of the two routes from Norbeok to Sandy Springs, one by way of Norwood, and the other via Olney, and to make a report to the Commission, as to which of these routes would be the more desirable for a State Road toward Sllicott City, and it was decided that no action be taken on Mr. Stapler's request until after the Chief Sngineer'8 report as to said survey is received and considered. Upon motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Mr. Miller, the matter of accepting aid from the Federal Government for the improvement and maintenance of 50 miles of State road, as set forth in the letter of November 20, 191E, from Postmaster General Hitchcock and Secretary of Agriculture Wilson to Governor Goldsborough, was referred to the Chairman and Counsel, Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, the matter Vienna-Big Mills Road referredof building the .85 of a mile of State Road on the Vienna-Big Mills to the Chairman and Cora- Road, in Dorchester County, by force account, under the superinten-misaioner Miller. denoy of Mr. Win. A. Percy, was referred to the Chairman and Commissioner Miller,with power to act. Extension of time on P. Reddington's contract, #0256, Hanover St. Approval of Contract #243. Upon motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Mr* Miller, the time of P. Reddington, for completing his contract #0^56, on Hanover Street, in Baltimore City, w; s extended to May 30th, 1913, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley, in his letter of December 11, 1912, provided no charges be made against the State by the Contractor for such delay. Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, the final estimate of $3,643.71, due on State Aid Contract #£40, for work done on
