Knov;le: "bid accepted. A special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held at its offices, 534 IT. Howard Street, Baltimore, Md., this Wednesday, October 9, 1912, at 9.30 A. M. Present: Chairman teller, Dr. Remsen, Dr. Clark, Messrs. Miller, Ramsay and Goelin. The minutes of the meeting of the Commission held September 13, 1912, were read and approved. Upon motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Mr. Miller, it was voted that the bid of the Chesapeake Construction Company for the road in Caroline County from Dover Bridge toward Preston, being our Contract #057, be accepted, at the price of $30,026.24, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley on September 19, 1912. On motion of Mr. Ramsay, seconded by Mr. Miller, it was voted that the bid of Wm. H. Xnowles for $4843.50, for the improvement of the approaches to the Sharptown Bridge between Dorchester and Wicomioo Counties, being our Contract #0262-B, be accepted, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley on September 19, 1912. On motion of Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, it was voted that the bid of the Chesapeake Construction Company of $25,880.60, for the road in Talbot County from Easton to Dover Bridge, being our Contract #0114, be accepted, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley on September 19, 1912. 0 b ~* On motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, it was Chesapeake Construction Go's., Voted that the bld °f the GhesaP*a*e Construction Company of bid on Contract 063 accepted. $21,521.40, for the road in Worcester County from Snow Hill towards Pooomoke City, being our Contract #063, be accepted, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley on September 19, 1912. Upon motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, it was voted that the bid of the Junlata Paving Company of $13,111.85, for the improvement of the road in Kent County, from Kennedyville to Locust Grove, our Contract #0122-B, be rejected, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley on September 19, 1912, because it exceeds our estimate of $12,793.10. Chesapeake Construction Go's "bid on Contract #0114 accepted. Juniata Paving Go's bid on Contract #0122-B rejected. Bid of County Commissioners of r/orcester County, on Contract |k)61, rejected. Upon motion of Mr. Ramsay, seconded by Mr. Miller, It was voted that the bid of the County Commissioners of Worcester County for $46,158.10, for the construction of road in Worcester County from Snow Hill toward Pooomoke City, our Contraot #061, be rejected., as recommended by Chief Engineer Shirley on September 19, 19IB, because It ezoeeds our estimate of $31,704.25.
