Page 432, Rejection of bids on Contract #0125. Contract ~0154AB, road from Rock Point to 'Jayside approved. of the Treasury of Maryland, this bein^; the second $1,000,000 of suoh bonde so authorized, the first $1,000,000 having been sold as of August lt 1912. Upon motion of Governor Goldsborough, seconded by Mr, Miller, it was voted that all the bids submitted for the improvement of the road in Prince George's County, from near T. B. to the Charles County line, our contract #0155, be rejected, as recommended by Chief Engineer Shir ley, in his letter of September 11, 1912,- Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Mr. Miller, it was voted that the contract dated August 20, 1912, with Claiborne, Johnston & Co., "being our Contract #0154AB, for the construction of the road from Rock Point to 'Jayside, in Charles County, a distance of 9.7 miles, be, and the sane is, hereby approved and ratified. Upon motion of Governor Goldsborough, seconded by Mr. Miller, it was voted that the bid of the Juniata Paving Company for the improvement of Section 2B of State Road #1, being our Contract #08B, through the main street of Laurel, in Prince George's County, be rejected, in accordance with the recommendation of Chief Engineer Shirley, under date of September 3, 1912, for the reason that the bid was $569.75 above the estimated cost of this work. On motion of Governor Goldsborough, seconded by Mr. Goslin, it was voted that the bid of the Chesapeake Construction Company, amounting to $15,138.50, for the improvement of the road from 3aston to Wye Mills, in Talbot County, Section 3-B, being our contract #0111, be rejected as excessive, the same being about 25fj above our estimated cost of this work, this being in accordance with the recommendation of Chief Engineer Shirley, dated September 3, 1912. Upon motion of Mr. I.liller, seconded by Mr. Goslin, it was voted that Spencer and Little be awarded the contract for building the section of the Belalr-Conov/ingo Road between Station 480 and 555 in Harford County, being our Contract #0176, for the sum of $11,715.85, as recommended by Chief .Engineer Shirley in his letter of September 3, 1912. Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Mr. Miller, it was ordered that the final estimate of work done on the Uniontown Final estimate of Contract Road ln Carroll County, our Contract #216, dated August 5th, 1912, #216 approved. &nd amounting to $2976.99, be approved. Contract #08B, through main street of Laurel, rejected. Contract #0111, improvement of roud from 3aston to 7/ye Mills rejected. Contract #0176, spencer & Little, awarded. Extension of completion of Contract §05. Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Governor Golds-borough, it was voted that the time for the completion of our Contract #05, Section 13, of State Hoad #1, by the Juniata Paving Company, be extended to September 30, 1912, as recommended by Chief 3ngineer Shirley, in his letter of September 3, 1912.
