A special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held at Its offices, 532 II. Howard Street, Baltimore, Md*» this Wednesday, June 26th, 1912, at 9.30 A. M. Present: Chairman We Her, Dr. Remsen, Messrs. Miller, Ramsay and Goalin. The minutes of the meeting of the Commission of June 19, 1912, were read and approved. Senator Hammond, Dr. Eareokson, Dr. Williams and Mr. O'Malley of Howard County, appeared before the Board regarding the construction of the Baltimore and Washington Boulevard through the village of Blkridge. The Chairman stated that if these gentlemen would designate some person to confer with him as to a plan for the construction of this road which would be satisfactory to the State as well as the residents of Slkridge, he would be glad to take the matter up. Mr. Clinton Uhl and the Rotd Directors of Allegany County addressed the Commission with respect to the construction of State Aid Roads in Allegany County. No action was taken. Mr. Orlando Harrison of Berlin, Worcester County, appeared before the Board about having a road built through the incorporated town of Berlin. He was advised that no action could be taken at this time, because of lack of funds. It was moved by l!r. Miller, and seconded by Kr. Ramsay, that the action of the Chairman in purchasing a Buiok automobile from the L. W. Gunby Company of Salisbury, Md., for $926.90, as shown by bill of June 5, 1912, be approved ; that the Chairman be authorized to pay for same ; and that the automobile be charged to tho equipment account of the Commission. The motion was carried. It was moved by Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr* Goslln, that two weeks vacation each year, with pay, should be allowed the employees who have been with the State Roads Commission for a period of one year.
