ITo. 1 to be furnished House of Delegates A Special Meeting of the State Roads Commission was held at its offices in the Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Md., this Friday, March 1st, 1912, at 11 o'clock A. M. Present: Chairman Tucker, Dr. Remeen, Dr. Clark, Messrs. Shoemaker, Hutton and Lloyd. On notion of Dr. Remaen, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, the plan of the County Commissioners of Montgomery County for the maintenance of improved roads in Montgomery County, together with report of Mr. Crosby thereon, was referred to a Committee, (said committee to be named by the Chairman) to report back to the Commission. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the bill of P. Reddington & Sons for work done on the Harford Road (Ault contract, our #0185) amounting to $60.44 be paid, and the question of deducting this amount from any payment to be made Ault under his contract referred to the Counsel for advice. The motion being seconded by Mr. Lloyd, was adopted. The Chairman read a letter to the Board from Messrs. ?. Flanigan & Sons under date of February 27th, regarding outlets for sewers on Garrison Avenue (Contract #0264), and on motion of Dr. Hemsen, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, the question was referred to Counsel with the request that he Inform the Commission whether this condition can be relieved by it without the help of the City ; and that a copy of Mr. Flaniganfs letter together with letter from this Commission urging the City to take some action in this matter, be sent to the Mayor. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the County Commissioners of Harford County be notified that the State Roads Commission will approve of the letting of contract for the improvement of the Wesley Chapel Road (S. A. R.) provided the County will take care of the State's portion of the expense until such time as funds become available for this purpose. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen, and adopted. On motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, the Chairman and Chief Engineer were requested to comply with the terms of the following order passed by the House of Delegates on February 29th: "ORDSRBD, That the State Roads Commission be directed to report within one week to the Speaker of the House, the present status of State Road Ho. 1, the funds received by them for the
