Recommendation of Committee on settlement of claim of Luten Bridge Company. \ Repairs to Severn River Bridge, The regular semi-monthly meeting of the State Roads Con-mission was hold at its offices in the Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Maryland, this Thursday, February 1st, rJL'3, at 10:^0 A. IJ. Present: Chairman Tucker, Dr. Jterr.con, Dr. Clark, ."ect.'rc. Shoemker, Hut ton and Lloyd. Tho minutes of the neetings of the Cormirfiion held January 2nd, 8th and 25th, wore, on notion of Dr. Ronsen, seconded by I.ir. Snoenaker, approved. The Committee appointed at the previous mooting of the Board to adjust the claim of the Luten Bridge Company for damages on account of delay and flood caused by the tino consumed in relocating gas mains so that the piers of the bridge could be constructed, recommended that the Luten Bridge Conpany be paid the sum of $1264. for ceraent, $421.95 for Lunbor, and $854.19 for labor, making a total of $2540.14, and stated that the Luten Bridge Company was willing to accept this amount in full settlement of their claim. On notion of Hr. Shoonakor, seconded by ~ir. Lloyd, the Committee's rocont-.cndation was approved. Counsel to the Board reported that ho h'd conferred with the County Atithorities of Anne Arundel County us to the bridge over the Severn Hiver, and suggested that the necessary repairs be raade to this bridge so as to make it safe for travel. On notion of Dr. Herisen, seconded by JJr. Shoemaker, the Chief Engineer was instructed to make such repairs as in his judgment nay be necessary.
