Pago 374. Baltimore, Md., January 2nd, Seventy-fourth Meeting. Present. Minutes Approved. Warrant for amount of ^ olis Boulevard 3ond Sale. A Special Meeting of tho State Roads Commission was held at its offices in the Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Lid., this Tuesday, January 2nd, 1911, at 9 A. li. Present: Governor Crothers, Chairman Tucker, Lr. Rerasen, Messrs. Shoemaker, Hutton and Lloyd. The minutes of the previous meeting of the Commission, December 28th, 1911, were read and approved. On notion of Governor Grothors, seconded by Dr. P.omson, the Chairman was authorized to draw his warrant on the Comptroller for the amount of the Annapolis Boulevard Bond Sale, $251,496.55, in accordance with the Acts of 1910, Chapter 116. The notion vras seconded by Dr. Ponsen, and adopted. The Chairman stated that the improvement of the national Pike at Sidling Hill, covering a distance of about 4 miles, should be considered by the Board ; also, that the State Road should be relocated between Ilillstone and Coohesvillo in Washington County, to avoid a dangerous railroad crossing of the '.Vestern Maryland Railroad, and that the portion of the National Pike west of Frostburg to the Pennsylvania Line should be reconstructed as speedily as possible, on account of the roughness of its present surface. Governor Crothers suggested that those matters be considered by the Board, and some definite action taken at the next meeting of the Commission. On motion of Llr. Shoemaker, seconded by Mr. Hutton, the Chairman was authorised, on approval of tho plans of the Frederick Cost of planting slopes along Road at Gwynn'n Falls, to advise the Board of Park Commissioners Frederick P.d. at Gwynn's Palls, that the State Roads Commission will pay the aim of $1000. to cover the cost of planting tho elopes along tho Frederick Road at Gwynn's Falls. Improvementof Ilatl.Pk. at Sidling Hill, relocation of road between IJillstone and Cookesville, and rooonstruo'n of Ilatl.Pk, v/est of Frostburg to be considered by the Board. Contract, of Junlata Pav.Co. In Cecil Co, to be terminated Mr. Shoemaker moved that Contract #044 of the Juniata Paving Company, in Cecil County, be terminated, owing to lack of funds at this tine with which to complete the contract. The motion was seconded by Dr. Ronsen, and adopted. On motion of Mr. Hutton, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, the following estimates were approved for payment: ttimatea approved for payrat.
