Shoemaker, the matter of underpinning the 3rdrn&n green houses on the Belair Road, Contract £0186, was referred to the Chairman, with power. Chairman Tucker 'reported to the Board that he had arranged with Llr. J.I. i'. IIcDowe] 1 to construct the road in Garrett County from the Allegar.y County Line v/est tov.-arfls Grantsville, Contract #0160, under force account, and with this end in view had shipped the necessary equipment from Cecil County. Dr. Remsen moved that the action of the Chairman, as reported, be approved. The motion was neconded by L~r. Shoemaker, and adopted. .. statement from IJr» George M. Frech amounting to $2030.00, being excess cost of constructing Contract #043, Section 1, in Cecil County, of trap rock instead of limestone, was presented to the Commission for payment, Llr. Frech's bid having been based on limestone construction. On motion of Llr. Hutton, seconded by Dr. P.emsen, payment of Mr. Frech's bill as rendered, was declined. I.lr. L. ii. Thltcraft, Poads Engineer of Somerset County, under date of May 23rfl, addressed the Commission relative to State Aid Contract if233, asking that certain changes be made in the plans for this work. Dr. Remsen moved that the changes requested by Llr. tfhitcraft be made, provided the County Commlrsloners of Somerset County will bear any additional expense incident to such changes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted, Mr. Hutton moved that interest olaimes by Messrs. -Bartlett, Claggett & Bland on Contract of The M. A.
