Elder for services of watchman on Contract ?f0180, between January 1st and June 1st, be referred to the Chairman with power. The motion was seconded by Dr. Rereen, and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker raoved that the question of the diposal of two bridges taken from the Harford 3oad at Herring Run, be referred to the Chairman, with power. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted. On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Jtr. Shoemaker, the question ns to whether the portion of the Automobile Fund collected previous to April 1st and not transmitted to the Treasurer -intil after April 1st is now legally available for maintenance purposed, was referred to the Counsel for prompt reply. The Chairman read a communication from the Chief Engineer under date of June 15th regarding the increase of salaries of employees of the Engineering Department, and delay Increase in salaries of employees in payment of maintenance expenses. On motion of Dr. Remsen, of Engineering Dooartr.ient. seconded by Governor Grot hers, the question as to maintenance expenses was referred to the Auditing Committee, with the re-ouest that it report to the Board. The matter of increases of salaries was held for further consideration. Question as to Automobile Fund referred to Counsel. Heletting of contracts for Gamber-Fenby 3oad. O 7-0 3 Payment for Boonsboro Turnpike Contract for Black Rook Rd. from Hampstead, approved. Plans for -Harford Road in Harford County. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the question of the letting of Contracts Hos. 0203-A and 0203-B, Ganiber-Fenby Road in Carroll County be referred to the Chairman, with power. The motion was .seconded by Dr. Pemsen, and adopted. Chairman Tucker was, on motion of Dr. Rerasen, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, authorized to draw his warrant in the amount of $12,000. in payment for the Boonsboro Turnpike, as soon as the deed for sarae has been properly executed. On motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Dr. Hemeen, the Chairman was authorized to approve State Aid Contract #242 in Carroll County, known as the Black Rook Road, from Esmpstead to the Baltimore County Line. Mr. Shoemaker moved that plans be prepared for the section of the Harford Road between Spencer's Contract #0173 at the junction of the Black Gap and Harford Roads to the intersection of the Belair Turnpike in Harford Coimty. motion was seconded by Mr* Button, and adopted.
