Dr. Reroeen moved that the State's rhare of estimates on the following State Aid Contracts be certified to the Comptroller for payment: Contract 4l84-St. Augustine Rd., Cecil County, $5f>7P.?7 11 *169-Kensington " Montgomery " 12S.°7.71 " f!64-Dover Bridge " Talbot " 8948.11 The motion was seconded by T.'r. Shoemaker, and adopted. Governor Crothers reported to the Board that he had had 4 a conference with the owners of the Conowingo Bridge, and had made an offer of $85,000.00. 13r. Hemsen moved approval of the Governor's offer of $85,000.00 for the Conwrfngo Bridge. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. I.Ir. Hutton moved that an extension of time be granted to P. F. Connolly to August 1st, 1911, on Contract 7-:0131 , ns recommended by the Chief Engineer. The motion was seconded lijz. I.Ir. Shoa,-mnker, and adopted. Tvlr. Shoemaker moved that the bill of- Henry Gnble for hauling and putting in pipe on State P.oad <:1 near the .7estern IJaiyland Railroad, amounting to $175.82 be paid out of the Repair Fund. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers, c.nd adopted. The Chief Engineer addressed cornrnunications to the Commission under date of June IFth, regarding the slow progress of work on Contracts ITos. 0181 and 0183, recommending the termination of the employment of D. V. Ault & Company on said Contracts, and the employment of other persons to finish the work. Dr. Rom-sen offered the following in regard thereto: RESOLVED that the recommendations of the Chief Engineer in the matter of the contracts of D. V. Ault & Company, #0181 on the Westport Road and #0183 on the Harford Hoad, be and the same are hereby approved, and that the Chairman of the State ?oads Commission be, and he is hereby authorized to give I). V. Ault -•: Company and their sureties such notices as are required by their contracts. The foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted. On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Dr. Remsen, the Chairman was authorized to draw his warrant on the Comptroller of the Treasury in the amount of $7,000. to be used in connection with work on State Road #1, as provided by Chapter 409 of the Acts of 1910. Dr. Reins en moved that a survey be made and plans and specifications prepared for the section of State Road #1 between Beltsville and Contee. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted.
