Frederic!: appvd.N The Regular Semi-monthly Lieeting of the State Roads Commission w?.is hold at its offices, Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Lid., this Thursday, June 1st, 1911, at ten o'clock A. LI. Present: Governor Crothers, Chairman Tucker, Dr. Remsen, Llessrs. Shoemaker, Hutton and Lloyd. The minutes of the previous meeting of the Commission were road and approved. Llr. Shoemaker moved the bid of the Hassam Paving Company on Contract ;fO!60, Sections 1 and 2 in Garrett County, from Frostburg to Piney Grove, be received, and referred to the Chairman and Chief Engineer, with power to award same, if, in thoir judgment, this action is deemed advisable ; otherwise to arrange to have this section of road constructed under force account. The motion was seconded by I jr. Hutton, and adopted. On motion of Llr. Shoemaker, seconded by Governor Crothers, it was ordered that the LI. J, Grove Lime Company be notified that the State Roads Commission is willing to pay one-half the expense of placing the bridge over the Catoctin Creek on Contract -;f0242 in proper condition, provided the total expense does not exceed ,;:;400., said Company to perform said work to its satisfaction. The question of grading by Messrs. P. Flanigan & Sons on the Harford Road above ITorth Avenue (Contract J0251) was, on motion of Dr. Rerasen, seconded by Mr. Hutton, referred to the Chairman, with power. Dr. Remsen moved that the estimate of the Holt Construction Company, for work done on Contract f054 in Caroline County to May 17th, 1911, amounting to $475.20, be paid. The motion was seconded by Llr. Hutton, and adopted. On motion of Llr. Hutton, seconded by Mr. Lloyd, the Chairman's action in placing an order with the Pennsylvania Steel Company for 600 tons of rail for use on the Harford Road and Garrison Avenue, was approved. Governor Crothers moved that the action of the Commission adopted at its meeting of May 22nd, regarding State Aid Contract #242 in Carroll County, be rescinded, and in lieu thereof the County Commissioners of Carroll County be
