A recommendation of the Chief Engineer as to payment by the Commission of $1000. to 7/m. LI. Blder, in full settlement of all claims on account of delays, damages, etc., up to July 1st on Contract 7/0180, in addition to the amounts already paid him under his estimates, was submitted to the Board.  Dr. Remsen moved that the amount of }.lr. Elder's claim be paid, as recommended, and the Counsel requested to prepare a proper receipt for this amount and submit sarae to I~r. Slder for signature.  The motion was seconded by I.Ir. Hutton, and adopted.
Dr. Clark moved that contract for construction of road in Charles County from iValdorf to the St. Mary's County Line (Contract f0152) be awarded the Rickey-Swann Company ut the amount of their amended bid.  The motion was seconded by Ilr. Hutton, and adopted.
Up. Shoemaker ,novod that contract for road in Prince ^eor^-e's County, between the District of Columbia Line and the Charles County Line (Contract #0133) be awarded Mr. Peter F. Connolly at the amount of his amended bid.  The motion was seconded by Dr. Renisen, and adopted.
On motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by lir. Shoemaker, it was ordered that plans on Contract fr0183 be modified BO as to omit therefrom the sections at Station 157 + 63 to Station 159 -f 45; Station 171 f 40 to Station 175 f 25, and the section in front of the Cuba property noar Station 141.
Mr. Shoemaker moved that Counsel to the Commission be authorized to take an appeal in the mandamus proceedings of Ault vs. State Roads Commission.  The motion was seconded by Dr. Clark, and adopted.
Dr» Clark moved all bills this day approved by the Auditing Committee be paid.  The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen, and adopted.
