Request for equipment for use on Contract |P060-A granted. Chairman authorized to purchase equipment for use on Contract #084. Bide on Contract £242, Approval of award of Contract #242. be adopted on the 7/estminster-LIanchester Road, stating that it was their desire to have work on this road commenced near Westminster and continue toward Mexico. Mr. Button suggested that the County Commissioners be notified that the Commission will maintain the route originally adopted at its meeting of April 5th, 1911. Dr. Clark moved that the Chief Engineer be authorized to allow Mr. Win. C. Svans for grading on the 3aston-Wye Mills Hoad (Contract #0111), so far as the funds available will justify completing the work, as determined by the Chairman, with the distinct understanding that the contractor be again notified not to proceed with the work, and if done, it will not be paid for. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lloyd, and adopted. On motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Dr. Remsen, it was R3SOLVSD that in the counties where contracts have been let, or work is being done upon force account, approximating the total amount of allotment to said counties, that the engineer shall furnish to the Board a full statement of the condition of the work in said counties with reference to the amount of money available. On motion of Ur. Shoemaker, seconded by I.Ir. Eutton, the request of the County Commissioners of V/orcester County for gasoline engine and tank for use on Contract #060A was granted. A communication from Lir. H. I.I. Clark, roads engineer of V/icomioo County, under date of April 13th, regarding purchase of equipment for use on Contract #084, was, on motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Dr. Rernsen, referred to the Chairman, with power. The following bids were received on Contract #242 and submitted by the County Commissioners of Carroll County to the State Roads Commission, for its recommendation and approval: J. H. Frederick, .............$10369.91 Thos. C. Forsythe, 12060.75 Win. H. Clagett, .............. 12100.55 Fisher & Carozza, 12461.25 Mr. Hutton moved, upon recommendation of the Chief Engineer, that if the award of this contract is made by the County Commissioners to Wm. H. Clagett at the amount of his bid, same will be approved by the Commission, in view of the fact that the bid of Mr. Frederick is unbalanced and Mr. Forsythe has an uncompleted contract in Allegany County, and that the County Commissioners of Carroll County be so notified. The motion was a*«anded by Dr. Clark, and adopted*
