Approval of award of contract for Shiloh-Brookview Road to the Baker-Smith Construction Company. Damages to property in connection with work on Contract 0210. Approval by Commission of letting of Contract #211 for the Queen Chapel Road. The Regular Semi-monthly meeting of the State Roads Commission which was postponed from Thursday, May 18th, 1911, was held at its offices, Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Md., this i-onday, May :j2nd, 1911, at ten o'clock A. I.I. Present: Governor Crothers, Chairman Tucker, Dr. Remsen, Dr. Clark, Messrs. Shoemaker, Hutton and Lloyd. The minutes of meetings of May 4th and llth, were, on motion of Dr» Remsen, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, approved. Dr. Clark moved that the Chairman be authorized to draw his warrant on the Comptroller of the Treasury in the amount of i'ive Thousand Dollars, to be used in connection with road work in accordance with Chapter 217 of the Acts of 1910. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers, and adopted. On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Mr. Hutton, contract #073 - Dorchester County - for road between ShJloh and Brookviev/ - 7/as awarded the Baker-Smith Construction Company of Sast Hew Market, lid., at the amount of the Engineer's estir.ate. Dr. Clark moved bill of Chas. L. Smith amounting to ^50.00, for damages to property, etc., in connection with work on Contract £0210, referred to Chairman, with power. The motion was seconded by Mr.Shoemaker, and adopted. Governor Crothers moved the approval by the Commission of the letting of Contract #211 for the Queen Chapel Road from the District Line to Hyattsville, in Prince George's County, provided the County Commissioners will take care of all expenses in connection with the work if there be not sufficient funds available for the Commission to do so, they to be reimbursed for the State's portion of the expense out of the next allotment for Prince George's County. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted. Messrs. Coblentz & Klipp, under date of May 20th, addressed a communication to the Commission, asking whether or not the time limit for the completion of the Jionrovia-Kemptown Road in Frederick County (Contract #0241) would be extended beyond September let, as stated in the contract.
