Dr. Clark moved that the County Commissioners of Dorchester County be communicated with regarding the condition of State Aid Roads in this County known as the "Alien's Corner Road #27" and the "Williams P.oad #62", notifying them that unless these roads wore repaired in conformity with Section 45, Chapter 217, of the Acts of 1910, the County will not receive any further assistance on State Aid Heads. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen, and adopted. Messrs. P. Flanigan & Sons by communication under date of May 10th, 1911, informed the Commission that grading of the west half of the Harford Road, between north Avenue and Hargest Lane, would not be commenced until gas mains, water mains and electrical conduits are placed in their permanent locations, and requesting the Commission to take up with the Public Service Corporations the question of having this work done as soon as possible. On motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Governor Crothers, this matter was referred to the Chairman, i,7ith power. Mr. Button offered the following: "RESOLVED that the Chairman of the State Roads Commission notify the Comptroller of the Treasury of the State of Maryland of the contracts awarded in each of the several counties of the State of Jflaryland during the current year for State Aided Roads, and also notify him that any balances that may exist at the end of the year, by reason of the fact that warrants for the entire amount of said contracts have not been drawn during the current year, should be carried over to the credit of said counties, as there will be in existence contracts and obligations covering the entire amount of the estimated cost of contracts so let." The foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted. Dr. Clark moved that the typewritten report of the Committee appointed to take up the problem of the road through the village of Elkridge be accepted, and the Committee continued with the request that it proceed with proper negotiations. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers, and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the Chief Engineer be authorized to allow P. Flanigan & Sons on Contract #0254, 65 cents a foot for all curb moved as a result of the City's change of grade, in addition to the regular contract prioe of this curb as originally laid. The motion was seconded by Mr. Button, and adopted.
