On motion of Dr. Clark, Chairman Tucker was authorized to award Contract #0194 to Messrs. B. F. Sweeten & Sons, provided the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County are still willing to contribute one-third of the cost, as previously stated by them. The motion was seconded by Dr. Herasen, and adopted.

On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Dr. Clark, Contract #0160 was referred to the Chairman with power to award same to Ilr. J. B. Francis, if, in his judgment, this action seems advisable, and if not, to arrange to have this section of road constructed by force account.
So bids were received on the following contracts:
Anne Arundel County: Contract #0193, Owinge to Birdsville.
Baltimore County:  Contract #015AB2, B. « 0. H. H. Crossing near Alt. iVinans, to Caton Avenue.
Carroll County: Contract #0203, Gamber to Fenby.
Prince George's County: Contract #012, Section 10 of State Road #1, near Paint Branch;  Contract #06B, Section 14B through Bladensburg.
A communication from the Poad Directors of Allegany County, under date of May llth, 1911, was read to the Board, requesting that they be allowed to construct the section of the National Pike beginning at the end of Contract #0140B and extending towards Cumberland, and two sections of State Aid Road known as the Naves Farm Road and the Legislative Road leading from Mt. Savage towards Frostburg, said work to be carried on with the funds of Allegany County, reimbursement to be made by the State for such portion as is due the County when funds for this purpose become available*
Mr. Shoemaker moved that the requests of the P.oad Directors of Allegany County as contained In their communication of May llth, be granted. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothere, and adopted,
