Page 297. Bill of 3. H. Speddan for services. -Bill of H. A. Paine for services on Contract #053. Expensea of Mr. Crosby for trip to Atlanta, Ga. Adjustment of difforonces in Caroline County referred to Chairman and 3ngineer. Park Heights Aye.-City Lrats, to Caves Road accepted. Construction of Predk.P.oud from P.idgevl,-Monocacy Hiv, Bills ordered paid. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the. bill of Mr. W. H. Spedden of Cambridge, Md., amounting to $179.33 for services rendered as treasurer and clerk on the East Newmarket-Mt. Holly Road In Dorchester County, be paid In the absence of charge for timekeeper. Mr. Button seconded the motion, which was adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the bill of Llr. H. A. Paine, of Dentou, Md., amounting to $400. for services rendered as superintendent, etc., on Contract #053 in Caroline County, from April 1st to December 1st, 1910, be not approved for payment. The motion was seconded by lir. Hutton, and adopted. On motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Governor Crothers, the expenses of Chief Engineer Crosby amounting to $50.57, account of trip to Atlanta, Ga., to attend convention, were ordered paid. The following resolution was offered by Mr. Hutton: "BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chairman and Engineer be, and they are hereby authorized to adjust the matter of differences between the State Roads Commission and Caroline County, and to make such arrangements for the completion of work in said County, as in their judgment is advisable, and that the State Roads Commission will, so far as it has the power, agree to reimburse and pay Caroline County for all bills authorized by said Chairman and 3nglneer and approved when work is completed, by the State Roads Commission out of any future appropriation or bond issue that may be available for the purpose." The foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted, Mr. Shoemaker moved that Park Heights Avenue from the City Limits to Caves Road be accepted by the State Roads Commission as a portion of the State Roads System. Mr. Hutton seconded the motion, which was adopted. Mr. Hutton moved that the building of the section of the Frederick Road from Ridgeville to the Monooacy River be left with the Chairman, with power. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that all bills this day approved by the Auditing Committee, be paid. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted. On motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Mr. Hutton, the Chairman was authorized to certify to the Comptroller for payment, provided there are ample funds available for this purpose, the following estimates, viz:
