Bill of U.Rwys, & Elec.Co 4 on Contract #0180 ordered paid. \ The Chairman presented a bill from r'essrB. p. F. Connolly & Company, amounting to $1539.00, expenses caused by delay on Contract #0131. On notion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by T'r. Hut ton, the matter was referred to the Chief TJnginuer for report. The motion was adopted. On motion of },'r. Hutton, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, the Chairman was authorized to draw his warrant on the comptroller of th-j Treasury for $150,000. to he usad for expenses on State Poad work. The motion was adopted. A communication relative to the taking over and improvement of a atrip of land running parallel to the feisterstown Road was read to the "Board, and it was moved by Mr. Shoemaker, that the Chairman communicate with the "Baltimore City officials alonp- the following lines: "The State Roads Commission will improve the forty foot strip of land on the west side of the United electric Company's tracks from Park Heights Avenue to the east branch of the New Liberty Road, if it is desired that the same be done as one of the improvements by the state Roads Commission, provided this CoramisBion is furnished with the necessary right-of-way. The Commission bags to suggest that it would seem that the city might "be in a better position if it is decided to improve this strip, had a fair offer been first made to the Turnpike Company for the adjacent portions of its right-of-way. Tha Commission prefers the city to acquire the necessary ri/*ts-of-way for such improvements as are desired in ordar that the entire amount available for the city may be used for construction. The Commission would greatly prefer that the city fix the amount, even should it be finally determined that the payment of the same shall be made by the Commission from the city's allotment of ths State Road Fund." Tha motion wae duly seconded and adopted. LIr. shoemaker moved that the estimate on the Treneington Bridgo Road in Montgomery County amounting to $5,871.55 be approved and certified to the Comptroller for payment. The motion was seconded by Hr. Hutton, and adopted. 1'r. Futton moved that the bill of the United Pailways £ Electric Company, amounting to $45.08, for materials used on "aryland Avenue, Westport, (Contract #0181), "he paid. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. Mr. shoemaker moved that the bill of the United Railways & Electric Company, amounting to $284.67, for labor, adaptation and reconstruction of tracks on Maryland Avenue, Westport (contract Ho. 0181), be paid. The motion wae seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted. Mr. Tmtton moved that the bill of the United Railways & Electric Company, amounting to $2356.19, for labor in connection with adaptation of tracks on Falls Road, etc., (Contract ^0180), be paid. Mr. Shoemaker seconded the motion, which was adopted.
