Page 231. Corriganeville Road Contract approved. Notice to Trustees of Johns Hopkins University. Construction of 'Snorter's Wharf Road-Dorchester Co. Repairs to shell road between Salisbury and southern end of State Road and oiling of roads in Wicomico County. Grade of Belair Rd. at Herring Run to be €>%. the Act of Assembly 1910, by which the County and State were each to pay respectively one-half of the cost of State Aid Poads. Governor Crothers moved that these questions "be referred to the Counsel to the Commission with request that he report on same. The notion was duly seconded and adopted. On motion of yr. Shoemaker, the Chairman of the rornmiBsion was authorized to approve Contract ^'178 on the Corigansville "Road in Allegany County. The motion was seconded by lrr. Hutton, and adopted. Mr. Hutton moved that the Chairman "he authorized to submit the following form of notice to the Trustees of the .Tohne Hopkins University: "Trustees of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, ^d. You are hereby notified that we will quit "the premises occupied by us under lease dated the first day of nctober, 1908, at the Johns Hopkins University "Building, at the expiration of our tenancy, September 30th, 1910. By order of the rommission, Chairman. " The motion wae seconded by ?'r. Shoemaksr, and adopted. A cornmuni cation from the "ounty nonmi aei oners of ^ County, requesting that a section of road situated in "°ucksto\vn and Lake ^i strict, known as the Short er' s Wharf Poad, ha constructed at once under the State Aid ^,aw. ?T. Hutton moved that their roquest "he p-ranted. T-e motion was seconded by IT. Shoemaker, and adopted. The Chief "PMgineer reconriended that instructions he pi van the engineering department to proceed as promptly as possible with the necessary repairs to the existing shell road between Salisbury and the southern end of the State Poad now under contract with Wicomico County, and that as soon as practicable this section, end as much of adjacent State Road now under construction by Wicomico County as is fit for the treatment, he treated with suitable oil or pitch, with proper agreement with Wicomico County authorities to protect this Commission in the matter of acceptance from any portion of the section under contract. I'r. Shoemakor moved that the foregoing recommendations of the engineer be approved. ?'r. Hutton seconded the motion, which was adopted. On motion of T.'r. Shoemaker, seconded by IJTr. Hutton, it was agreed that the grade of the hill on the Overlea section of the Belair Road at Herring Run "Rridge be changed to a maximum of 6#. The motion was adopted.
