Action of Chairman in employment of men, approved.
Mr.   Shoamaksr raovad  that  the  privilege be granted,   as recommended by  the  TCngi near ing -^apartment,   and that  an   inspector be placed on the  work.     The motion was duly seconded by Governor Crothars,  and adopted.
The Chairman  submitted a letter from the  poad "Directors of  Allegany County,   undsr date  of July 15th,   1910,   signod by Clinton Uhl,   Chairman,   relative  to  th<?  construction of pole   line along the National Pike "by the Edison Electric  Illuminating Company,   of Cumberland.     The Engineering "njpartmont   racommand  that tha Edison    Klactric  Illuminating  Company be  allowed  to  plant poles in line with  the postal  Telegraph Company's poles on  this road.
Vr.   Shoemakor movsd that  tho  aforesaid  company be granted permission  to  plant  th-^ poles,   as recommended by our Chief TSrgineer.     The motion was  duly  seconded,  and  adopted.
Upon motion  of Kr.   Shoaraakar,   duly  seconded "by  Governor Crotha^s,   it  was ordered  that the  Chairman  he authorized to  purchase a small gasoline   engine,   pump and  tank for  use of the  bounty Commissioners  of Worcester County.
Mr.   Sho-3mak3r inovad  that  tho  action  of  the  Chairman   in letting the  contract  in St.  T.'ary' s  bounty,   to irr.   Thomas "ullan at  the "bid price of £15,723,  be  approved "by tho  fltata Poads '"rom-mission.     The motion was duly socjnd^d and adopted.
It was moved and seconded that,   in tho judrmant  of  the Commission,   tho "bill of the Maryland Transportation Company for dstfnurragtf caused by tho njgligonco  of tho   Standard T.ime  .t Stone Company,   is not  a proper charge  to  "be  paid by  the   bounty ^ommis-sionors of Caroline   County,   working undor superyieion of  the State Roads
The  Chairman  read a communication from ?T.  v\  •"',   <?rosby, Chiaf Bnginaer of  the   Stats  poads  Commiseior,   advising   that   the following men have been  employed recently by the Engineering Departmant:-
J.  "B.   Herrman,   assignod to  "Baltimore County,   Contract #O181,   July 1st,   as work had  stopped on Contract  ^0180,   on which ha was previously located.
W.   ?.   Childs,   employed as  inapactor  July 7th,   and assigned to Baltimore  County,   Contract #0182,   July llth.
0.   r?.   Sima,   assigned to   Somerset  County,   Contract #219, July 8th,   to  take J.  •";.  owens*   place.
