Tar Kettle 1 doz. 16" "Baas Brooms and handles 1 doz. square pointed, short handle shovels (warren or Ames) 1/3 doz. 8 to 9 Ib. picks and handles Hatchet, axe, saws, wrenches, buckets, etc. Mr. Hutton moved that the Chairman "he authorized to purchase the foregoing outfit. Governor Crothers seconded the motion, v/hich was adopted. Governor crothers moved that Chairman Tucker "be authorized to draw his warrant on the Comptroller of the Treasury for the sum of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.oo) for expenses of supervision of road work under Chapter 225 of the Acts of 1904, as amended by the Acts of 1910, Chapter 217. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. On motion of Mr. Hutton, seconded "by 1/r. shoemaker, it was agreed that Mr J. ?. Bowerman, who resigned as Secretary to • the Commission on May llth, 1910, "be paid his salary for the entire month in lieu of vacation due him. Mr. Hutton moved that K. w. Mannion be reimbursed for services as acting-secretary, the amount paid to be determined by the difference between the secretary's salary from May llth to June llth, 1910, and the amount paid Miss Mccready (Stenographer). Governor Crothers seconded the motion, which was adopted. On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Mr. Hutton, Chairman Tucker was authorized to purchase the necessary materials for the oiling of roads on Eastern Shore, as ordered by the Commission.
