Governor Crothers moved that the Chairman -of the *• Commission secure from the owners of the Conowingo "Bridge an option thereof. Mr. Shoemaker seconded the motion, v/hich was adopted. On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Vr. Hutton, it v/as agreed that the matter of the advertisement of the Jefferson Pike botwsan Frederick and petersville, in Frederick County, be held in abeyance until funds for the purchase of this road are collected, and thereupon advertise sarae. On motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Mr. Hutton, the question as to advertising for bids on the Bel Air Road, from City Limits to Overlea, the Liberty Road, from City Limits to Buck's Lane, and the HarfordRoad, f ro'ra tforth Avenue to Atlantic Avenue, was held in abeyance until such time- as th3 Governor can confer with the United Railways Company with regard to agreora'ent applying to all roads in the State. On motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by Mr. Hutton, the following roads were ordered re-advertised for proposals: The National Pike in Allegany County, between the Standard Oil \Yarehousj and the Pennsylvania Railroad Crossing, in one section ; and bstwaon Six Mile House and Allegany Grove, in one section. The road between Elder sburg and Gatnber, in Carroll County, a distance of about five miles. The Rational Pike in Garett County, from the Allegany County Line towards Piney Grove. • The Marlboro pike from the District of Columbia Line, a. distance of 5.20 miles, in Prince George'8 County. The Mechanicsville-Leonardtown Road, in St. County, from Hellen towards L^onardtown, a distance of about 5.20 miles, for bridging, grading and draining only.
