Dr. R em sen mored.that the Chairman of the State Roads Commission be authorized to receive the formal transfer of the balances In bank to the credit of the Surrey, together with the reports, books, papers and documents, and the property of the Highways Division of the Maryland Geological Survey.     The motion was duly seconded, and adopted.
Governor crothers moved that the Chairman of the State Roads Commission be instructed to go into the reports of the Highways Division of the Maryland Geological survey, as submitted, and report back to the Board. Dr. Remsen seconded the motion, which was adopted.
Dr. Clark recommended that Mr. W. V. Crosby be con* tinued as chief Engineer to the Geological Survey, without salary.
On motion of Dr. Remaen, duly seconded and carried, it was agreed that Mr. Crosby be continued as Chief Engineer to the Geological Survey, without salary, he, however, to be paid for any extra work that may be done in connection there* with.
Governor Crothers moved that the Chairman be author* ized to draw his warrant on the Comptroller of the Treasury for $225,000., to meet the expenses of road work. The motion was seconded by Dr. Clark, and adopted.
Governor Crothera moved that a recess be taken until two P. M. The motion was seconded by Mr. Button, and adopted.

The Washington Spa Springs A Gretta Railroad presented an application to the Commission for permission to

construct and operate a single or double track railroad from the District Line to Bladensburg.
Dr. Remsen moved that this matter be referred to the Chairman and Chief Engineer to look into,  and report bsjfe to the Board,    Governor Crothers seconded the motion, which w*s adopted.
