Ward Brown, ........................ 45106.35 concrete do. 43706.35 steel A bid on Contract #0112, in Talbot County, was received without the signature of the bidder. Dr. Remsen moved that in view of the fact there were no other bidders on this contract, that this bid be admitted. The motion was duly seconded and adopted. The American Telephone and Telegraph Company of Baltimore City, represented by Mr. Bernard M. Carter, made formal application to lay conduits along the Philadelphia Road between the City Limits and Herring Run. The Chief Engineer stated that the details of this matter were being worked out between the engineer of the County and the State Roads Commission, and would probably be ready for action at the next meeting of the Commission. Mr. Swann of the Rickey-Swann Company appeared before the Commission and asked that the Con.ir.i38ion grant him an order on . the I0/o withheld on account of his contract, to be used by him as temporary security. Action on the matter was deferred. Mr. P. F. Reddington, contractor, appeared before the Commission to ascertain what action had been taken as to the removal of tracks of the United Railways Company on the Falls Road, Contract #0250. The Chairman stated that the matter was in the hands of the Attorney General, and that Mr. Reddington would be communicated with as to what decision had been reached, as soon as practicable. The Chairman read a communication from the Citizens National Bank of Meyersdale, Pa., in regard to the financial standing of Hoblitzell & Price. Governor Crothers moved that the contract in Garrett County from Oakland to McHenry, No. 0162, awarded Messrs. Hoblitzell & Price, be approved. The motion was duly seconded and adopted. |
