A communication from T'r.   IT.   7\  Kniprht,   Sup't  of Poads  for Montgomery County,   was  raad and  discussed,   and action thereon deferred until the  next meeting  of the  commission.
On motion  of Gov.   Crothjrs,   duly  seconded,   the  commission adjourned  to  meet Monday,  "Tay 9th,   1910,   at  11  o'clock  A.  •"•.

Permission to construct State Road from Gaitharsburg to B»rnestown in Montgomery Co.
A Special Meeting of the State Roads Commission was held this Monday, May 9th, 1910, at its offices, Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Md., at 11 o'clock A. M.
The Chairman read a letter from Mr. P. L. Hargett, President of the Frederick City & Jefferson Turnpike Road Company, Frederick, Md., under date of May 6th, 1910, stating that the Company has no fee simple title to the road-bed.  The Company has never given any telephone company any right of way to plant poles.  The trolley runs on the side of the pike for about 300 yards and his company gave them the right of way. The road is supposed to be 60 feet wide from fence to fence.
Dr. Clark moved that the bills which had been approved
by the Auditing Committee be paid. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen and adopted.
The Chairman read a letter from Mr. M. D. Knight, Superintendent of Roads for Montgomery County, regarding the construction of roads in said County, and after some discussion, the following letter was formulated and forwarded to the County Commissioners of
Montgomery County:  "Gentlemen: At a meeting of the State Roads Com-
