Communication r yarding road roller for Worcast^r County Communication regarding road roller for Allagany County Prices on Road Rollers: Kally-Springfield Roller ord-jrad purchased for Allegany County. The minutes of the previous meetings of the Commission were read and approved, The Chairman read a letter from the United Railways and ^lectric Company, under date of April llth, 1910, regarding-tracks on the ?alls Road. Governor Crothers moved that a '"'ommittee be appointed « to confer v/ith the Attorney general in regard to the tracks of the United Railways Company on the streets and highways. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen, and adopted. The Chair named as such Committee- Governor Crothers, Dr. Remeen and the ""'ngineer. The Chairman read a letter from ?'r. .T. "^dward TThite, Treasurer of the County Commissioners of Worcester County, dated April llth, 1910, requesting the purchase of another road roller for work in said County. Also a letter from the Allegany County people, under date of April llth, 1910, requesting the purchase of a roller. The chairman read letters from several road roller companies, giving prices for rollers, as follows: J. I. Case Company, offering a roller at £1980.00 Cash, f.o.b. Harrishurg. New York Road Roller Company, rollers in any number, f.o.b. cars in I'arylar.d, at £2100.00 cash. J'onarch Road Roller, £2325.00 each, 10-ton, f.o.b. cars destination, unloaded and started. If man is not needed, deduct $75.00, making $2250-00 f.o.b. cars at ^actory. •T. I. Case, £.2245.00, v/ith a competent man to unload, deliver, start and operate for five days, (f.o.b. any point in raryland) . A discount of £22--~>. will be allowed for net cash, making £2025.00 if paid before October 1st, 1910. Kelly-Springf ield Road Roller Company, delivered on cars in the State of raryland, f 2600. 00 less 9<, cash 90 days, privilege of one or ten, making ?-2366. Huber Roller, one or more 10-ton rollers, f.o.b. any point in Maryland, $2200.00, less 5^ if paid before July 1st, 1910, $2090.00, or 2-l/2/< if paid by September 1st, 1910. The Chief Engineer stated that the ronarch and the Kelly-Springfield Rollers, have the biggest reputations. The New York Roller is a new roller and he knew little about it. T. Remsen moved that a ^relly- Springfield Road Roller be purchased for use in Allegany County road work. The motion was seconded by tfr. Hutton, and adopted.
