Minutes read rc approved Shifting of tracks on Skills Road referred to City Solicitor for ruling The regular semi-inonthly meeting of the state Roads Commission, was held this Thursday, January 6th, 1'JIO, at its offices, Union Trust ^uildinr, Baltimore, Maryland, at 10:30 o'clock A. T'. Present: Governor brothers, Chairman Tuckor, Messrs. Shoemaker, Remsen and Clark. The minutes of the previous meeting of the Commission were read and approved. The Chairman read a letter from the "ayor of ^altimore regarding the shifting of tracks by the United Railways and "^lectric Company of Baltimore on the Falls Road, rendered necessary by the contemplated change of grade and paving of said road. The letter stated that the matter had been referred to the City Solicitor for a ruling and requesting the Commission to await his decision in the matter. Permission granted Con. The application of the Consolidated C-as, "^lectric Light and Power Company of "Baltimore to lay twelve service pipes on Park Heights Avenue, was brought to the attention of the Commission. The application had been approved by the "^ngineer of the Highways ^om-inission of "Baltimore County and "by the "^nrrineer of the ^oads Commission. On motion of l!r. Shoemaker, seconded by T>r. ^e .-risen, the permission requested was granted. In the matter of the estimates of work done by ?rcCormick ; d 0130 to December 15th, 16th, 21st and 22nd respectively, it was ordered that the estimates be forwarded to I'cComick ?c Company -after t • e following endorsement had been written across the face of the estimates, viz: "There is an attachment in our hands which prevents our paying you this money." The ChiLirrnan read a letter from the Governor of Delaware asking the State of Maryland to continue its road to the Delaware Line at or near Selbyville in 7/orcester County, a distance of about four miles. 1'r. Shoemaker moved that the communication be referred to the County Commissioners of Worcester County stating that the building by them of this road under the State Aid Law would meet with the hearty approval of this Commission. Dr. Clark seconded the motion, which was adopted. The Chairman presented a petition from the citizens of Kent Petition to have ITew State . County and of Chestertown asking that the new State *>oad be so con-Road run through Chester town structed as to run through Chestertown to Chester River "".ridge. Dr. i*» Chester River fridge in Regij&en moved that a communication be sent the petitioners to the effect Kent County thttt "the funds available are not sufficient to do the work contem- plated in the counties including work through incorporated cities and Continuation of road in Worcester County to Delaware Line at or near Selbyville.
