It v/as decided that no action be taken in the matter until the Chief "^ngineer had looked into and reported on same. The Chairman read a communication from Vincent wt Power, Jr., tendering his resignation at inspector to the State Poads CQj.T'oi stii on. i'r. Shoemaker moved that said resignation be not accepted until Hr. Powers had completed hi s notes, at vhich tine he be paid the balance of salary due him. Dr. Clark seconded the motion, v/hich v/as adopted. The Chairrr.an read a letter from the southern "aryiand Rational ~ank of T,a Plata, I'd., under date of December 13th, 19o9, stating that the Rickey-Swarm Company had given said "Rank an order for $3,000. on their December estimate on Contract =#0150, and ask-irg that same be paid said "Bank instead cf the ?ickey-Swann pom-pany v/hen due. The Counsel suggested that the Chairman write said bank stating that the Commission could not recognize assignments by any of the contractors on the State Road Work. The Chairman read a communication from the V.A. Talbott Company regarding the lowering of pipe by the "Baltimore "ounty Water & "^lectric Company on the Philadelphia Road. Counsel suggested that Chairman communicate with F. A. Talbott Company, stating that the State Roads Commission could not assume any responsibility on its part in regard to th's sinking of pipe of the "Baltimore County ^"ater A: "^lectric Company. A cornmunication from T). Vt Ault, under date of October 28th, 1909, in regard to the shoulders on the east side of Harford Road at Hamilton, was read by the Chairman. VT. Shoemaker moved that the matter be referred to chairman Tucker and Chief "^ngineer Crosby, with power to act so as to take care of the flow of water at said location. The motion v/as duly seconded and adopted. The Chairman read a communication from City Solicitor Poe in regard to the shifting of tracks of the United Railways a "^lectric Company on the Harford Road. The counsel to the
