the lease of the property, 532 n. Howard Street, with the Johns Hopkins University, be sent to them.  The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton and adopted.
1'r. Shoemaker moved that the Chairman be authorized to employ a stenographer and typewriter operator in the office, which motion was seconded by Y.T. Hutton, and adopted.
Governor Crothers moved that .'r. J. ?r. 'Handel be employed by this Commission, as Inspector, from August 16th, 190y.  The motion was seconded by ?rr. Shoemaker, and adopted.
I'r. Shoemaker moved that the action of the Chairman in advertising three miles of road in St. Mary's County from Leonardtown north tov/ards "echanicsville, be approved.  The motion v.ras seconded by Governor Crothers and adopted.
Mr. Shoemaker moved that the County Commissioners of Caroline County "be authorized to construct four miles of State Road in said County, beginning at the end cf the present contract of the Juniata Pavinr Company, two miles south from Denton and running towards Bureau, provided they commence t?ie work by the 1st of September.  The motion was seconded by Kr. Hutton, and adopted.
The Chairman presented a list of bills, approved by the Auditing Committee, amounting to $8,706.45, and on motion of ^r. Shoemaker, seconded by Governor Crothers, the bills '.vere authorized to be paid.  The bills were as follows:

Mr.  Hutton moved that Tfriere  land is donated to   the State  free,   that   if the  Commission,has  to remove  the  fencing or refence  the  property BO donated,   that  the   same be  done at  the  Commission's expense,   if requested.     The motion was seconded by I'r.   Shoemaker,   and adopted.
