Governor Crothers moved that the Commission take v/hat stone the Company has shipped to be used on the road in the first course, and that the Company be notified that no more stone less than the required test be accepted. Mr. Hutton seconded the motion, which was adopted. The Chairman presented a number of bills, ufcich had been approved by the Auditing Corrcnittee of the Commission, and on motion of Governor Crothers, seconded by T.Tr. Hutton, the bills were authorized for payment. At 11:30 o'clock A. M. the Commission tcok a Recess until 12 o'clock Noon, at which hour bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders, for the following counties, viz; Baltimore (Westport Road), Queen Anne's, Howard and Washington. Bid for Washington County At 12 o'clock Noon, the Commission reconvened for the purpose of opening bids for the construction of State Roads in the Counties of Baltimore, Queen Anne's, Howard and Washington. The following bids were received, to wit: BALTIMORE COUNTY: (Westport Road) The M. A. Talbott Company, F. W. Stehle, P. Reddington & Sons. QTMTO Ally's COUNTY: (Chestertown Road) Fayette M. Latham, McCormick & Company for both Centreville and Chester-town Roads, and the Juniata Paving Company for the Chestertown Road. HOWARD COUNTY: (West Friendship to Sykesville) G. M.
